Arad's goods on the road to export

Machinery and electrical equipment, vehicles or textiles, all become export goods. Machinery and equipment worth hundreds of millions leave Arad to reach the industry  and infrastructure of other countries in Europe and beyond.

Arad companies have turned to markets that require products made in the county and thus were able to impose, registering every month growing exports. Exports are not limited to manufacturing industries such as transport or metal, but have expanded even in the agricultural sector. For example, only vegetable goods produced in Arad and exported worth over 40 billion euros, after seven months of this year's business.

Exports grew at a steady rate from month to month. If in July 2010 Arad made total exports just over 139 million euros, in the same month of this year exports reached over 171million euros. However, the highest value of exports was recorded in Arad in March this year when exports were close to the threshold sensitivity of 200 million euros.

At the top end
Not all products have, however, the transition to foreigners. At the bottom of the table, for the first seven months, is the exports of animal fats and vegetable oils (489 thousand euros), wood pulp (690 thousand euros), and chemical products (2.326 thousand euros).

The structure of imports
In the structure of imports, the largest share held a group of commodities: machinery, electrical equipment (27.9%), textiles and articles of these (11.3%), metals (25.4%) , transportation (6.0%), etc.
